Questions before applying?

Students aged 12 and older can apply. Each program page lists who it is for. A parent or guardian’s details are required for any student under 18.

Yes. Students must be at least 12 years old.

The 9-Month Women’s Arabic Cohort is for sisters only. The other programs currently listed, including In-Person Elementary Arabic and private tutoring, are open to all students. There is no separate men’s class running at the moment; contact admissions if you would like to hear when one opens.

Yes. Elementary Arabic is designed for beginners, and private tutoring can be adjusted to a student’s level.

Tell us the student’s background on the application: choose a learning level, or “Custom / unsure”, and describe any prior study. Admissions reviews it and recommends a different program before the course begins if another would suit the student better.

Each program page lists its schedule and, where a cohort has fixed dates, its start and end dates. Class times vary by program. Private tutoring starts whenever your tutor confirms a time. Programs marked Coming Soon have no start date yet; join the waitlist to hear first.

All class times are in Eastern Time (ET). Online classes meet on Zoom, and the link is emailed to enrolled students before the first session.

Every Arabic class is taught from Lisān al-Qur’ān, so each stage builds on the last. Admissions tells enrolled students which materials they need before the first class. See the Curriculum page for the full path.

Yes. Private Arabic tutoring and private Qur’ān, Hifdh, and tajwīd tutoring are available with flexible scheduling.

Yes. Private Qur’ān, Hifdh, and tajwīd tutoring is available now. A group Hifdh Program is coming soon, and you can join its waitlist at no charge.

After submitting your application you continue to secure card checkout, handled by Stripe. Afsah Institute never sees or stores your card details. Your seat is confirmed once payment clears, and a receipt is emailed to you. A card processing fee is added to each payment and shown on the application before you pay.

Some programs are billed monthly. Where a program offers it, its page and the application say so, with the monthly amount and the number of payments.

Monthly programs charge the first month when you enroll, then the same amount each month for the number of payments shown on the program page; billing stops on its own after the last one. Private tutoring is bought as a block of hours paid up front at the hourly rate.

You receive an email confirmation straight away. For an open program you go directly to checkout, and your seat is confirmed as soon as payment clears. For a program that is full or not yet open you are added to the waitlist instead, and nothing is charged.

You are added to the waitlist at no charge. If a seat opens, admissions contacts waitlisted applicants in the order they joined. The seat is confirmed for whoever completes enrollment first.

Yes, depending on how much notice you give. Full details, including the refund windows, are set out in our Refund Policy.

The address is not published on the site. It is provided upon request: contact admissions and we will share it.

Yes. Each program lists its format: online, in-person, or hybrid.

No. Recording, filming, screenshotting, and photographing classes is strictly prohibited. Our faculty observe niqab and do not consent to their image or voice being captured in any form. This applies to online and in-person classes alike.

Contact your teacher or admissions as soon as you can. Make-up policies differ by program, and private tutoring sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
